Top, HD discs won't EVER be used for games cause what's the point when you can use 4.5gb DVD's onto your HDD.
It would be 10 years until HD discs would be cheap enough, and by that time electronic distribution would be in effect. So really there's no reason.
In a nut shell this is why Microsoft did it. They want to prolonge the HD formats for the benefit of HD-DVD to come down in cost. And very few people have 64bit PC's, I'm one of them.(isn't that nice).
Although I won't be getting a HD drive cause there's no point when I have my DVD's upscaled already with my 360.

I was talking about the wii's controller and reticle, as in interface.
But come on, no DVD playback. The wii already has a remote that you could of used for the movies, haha. I think it's just a fail safe that totally null and voids any dvd, hd-dvd, blu-ray, and other ones. So it's like totally out of the question, so therefore not an issue.
That's the only justification I could give nintendo for this, cause seriously what else could they be thinking.
Yah guys really, I know you don't like the PS3 BUT bioshock will come on the PS3. It was stated back at E3 than again in PSM. Now I know that's obviously biased magazine but the real deal is that bioshock is being made as a PC/360 game first and ported to PS3. That's why it doesn't get the title as much.
Not saying it'll be worse, just that it's a port.

Yah DVD players are uber-common now and this addition would be next to nothing. But I think the reason for this is because they don't want people 5 years from now to try to put in an HD-DVD or blu-ray disc and say, dang it doesn't work. That way nintendo doesn't have any negative HD disc feedback and goes on solely as a gaming platform

well hyper i'm not a fanboy, I'm a truthboy. And I don't really have money to burn like most of you at the moment so I can only afford one console and a couple games.
What I say is all true, the HD era is still quite a ways off. I don't think I'd ever get a PS3 for a blu-ray player because by that time when winner is determined there would be a stand alone player with better quality for cheaper than a 400 dollar PS3. I really have no desire to get a PS3 because of the games....
